Polishing

Gelcoat is the best protective coating for fiberglass: it prevents water infiltration but it is subject to wear and tear; it is therefore necessary to revitalise the hull through fine or coarse polishing, employing some mordant or extra-mordant protective paste, and sometimes even use sandpaper.
